Trust me, you dont want us to be able to do that...Because then every dealer would try to write a slightly different file with more fuel, more timing etc and then there would be a pile of blown 4tecs laying around..

lugnut	posted: 9/13/2012 9:52:52 AM Just out of curiosity, can a new ECU give my '08 155 GTI any more umph, safely and reliably? Emphasis on reliable, the best 'ski is one that always starts! Always looking for some more on that guy, love it, but my RX is still faster. Only mod so far is a pump wedge, gave me a couple. Put an SR CD 11/19 on it, loaded it down too much and lost speed, maybe an ECU tweak and an impellor tweak to match it? Lug

I've been looking for a 2012 155HP GTI LE model but so far have only found it in the 130HP version. Is the difference worth it to wait and keep on looking for the 155HP. Opinions please. Thanks.
