Great idea Tiny... I live in Savannah, GA. Two places that service sea doos are crooks. Bad experiences with both of them. Can't find another person who will touch them. Anyone in the area that can help?

Why not try to find a board member who might live near you to help???

That's why I thought I'd ask. You may as well speak a foreign language when discussing this stuff with me. I just want to try and solve this myself because the last "sea doo mechanic" I had work on it screwed me royally and then lied to me about the work that was done. Hard to find good help these days and people you can trust.

How would an Auto parts guy know that a Grinding Sound when starting the ski points to a faulty Voltage Regulator ?

I would try to find out where the grinding sound is coming from first -- perhaps the Magneto is rubbing against the housing or damaged the coils. That would keep your Battery from charging as well.

Do my symptoms fit the cure? Can you send link to part? I am having trouble finding it.

Easy to change, and we do see them fail from time to time. WE have them in stock. PPG 954-929-1636

03 GTI LE. I have to charge battery after each use. Battery checks out fine at auto parts store. Loud grinding all of a sudden when I got to fire it up. Auto parts store guy said voltage regulator. Any suggestions? How hard is it to change a voltage regulator?
