Hi:

I agree it takes MORE hay, oh well it is just fun. I guess because the only difference a buyer can see is a DECAL and mistakes putting a decal on at the factory I'm sure have happened, I was just woundering how I could tell for sure I have a 155 engine not a 130 engine with a 155 decal???? The ride is A-OK and performance seems to be OK but nothing to compare it with.

you can tell by how much hay the horses eat -- takes more to feed 155 horses than 130 --- oh gosh, sorry, just feeling silly this morning -- could not resist --- enjoy the ride!!!!

Thanks for the reply. I was feeling that the was the only way, via some serial number, ECu etc. I guess I will try to figure out where to find that information, probably will have to be the dealer.

Thanks again:

Bernie

There are no extrenal differences, your ID tag is it for the most part. The ECU numbers are another way of telling.

I'm a new owner of the GTI SE 155. The dealer tells me the only differences between the 130 vs 155 are HP. My question to the group is, is there a way to SURE that I have a 155 engine ?? Are there ANY visible differences between the two versions ?? Is it maybe by engine serial numbers and if so how can that be checked ?? Right now all I have for sure is a decal that says 155. I know the performance should be different but how about physical differences.
Thank you for any assistance.
Bernie
