I think the depth of a mag cover may be the difference in which part to use for a given ski, etc. longer or shorter coupler/adapters

Hey TLR, what is exactly different for the ski`s? on the crank end I have a small counter bore/sink, that`s it...

nah, they cross over. For example I see the same part number for the 99SPX as your boat. the picture on the fische' is different thou.

well my Bud stopped by today and said he never saw those types of oil pump couplers... I guess the ones for the ski`s are different for the ones in the boats...
these black couplers grab the flats on the nut that holds the flywheel, about 2+ inches long, the the end has a slot for the pump.
and they are worn...

Yes--- w/ a dab of synthetic grease on both ends.

TLR what do you mean by don`t forget?
you mean don`t forget to install them?...lol...

Don't forget the oil pump shaft adapter that sits inside the mag cover on the frt of the cranknose.

the pumps look good. Looks like I`ll be replacing all the lines and filters, before the engines go back in, ugh!!!

Those oil injection lines are worth their weight in gold. If they aren't replaced on a 16 year old machine then BOOM!!!!! Ive replaced the lines on both my skis the oil pump works fine....

yes i have a 95 with twin 650 lost 1 motor due to lines i now pre mix

Pale Rider posted: 6/1/2012 7:50:23 AM

it come out to a gallon of oil per 40 gallons. and that`s if you even burn that much.
i`m used to mixing 15-20 gallons at a time... became second nature...lol...

Kind of a pain in the a$$ to premix for such a large fuel tank.

 David_HX posted: 6/1/2012 5:18:03 AM

For convenience (if nothing else) I would stick w/ the original Oil Injection System. The Oil lines/clamps are cheap and easy to replace if they look "bad" or are leaking.

like the title says, anyone premix their jet boat?
I`ve premixed on and off for years. to me it not that big of a deal with premixing.
just wanted to here the boards thoughts... Thanks...
My boat is 14 years old, already installed new driveline, pumps, and now engines are going in soon. the oil injection system looks like it had seen better days.

soooooo I either do new lines form the pump to rotary cover and filters, and say a few hail mary`s, or switch to premix...
I had gallons in stock, did I say gallons! :)))))

can`t decide which is better for this investment...
