Do you have ground to MPEM? Its a ring lug terminal that breaks out midway in harness that is bolted to top left corner of Mag cover. Is connector pluged into Mag cover?

i installed new rebuilt engine in 2000rx that i bought with engine busted. when i went to start for first time i put key in and nothing happened no beeps of any kind. i jumped solinoid and starter did engage and eninge turned over. i checked fuses and checked that i have good voltage to line side of fuses, all checked o.k. what should i look for next. any advise would be great.
